CYNTHIA Palmer does not shrink from a challenge. While raising her six-year-old son, she bought an apartment and renovated the kitchen. Almost seven years ago, she bought a Neutral Bay apartment that needed a full renovation. “When I moved in, I took everything back, put in new floors, two new bathrooms and a new kitchen,’’ Cynthia said. “It’s big, light, bright and airy (now).’‘ Three bedrooms have been configured as two bedrooms and a dining room, but can easily be re-converted to a three-bedroom property. Cynthia works as a nanny five afternoons a week. “Mothering is the thing I love best so that’s what I do for a job.’‘ She is downsizing in the area. “I’ll probably lose the fabulous view I have here, but I’d like to get a district outlook or something overlooking a garden,’’ Cynthia said. Though not specifically looking for a renovator’s delight, she’s up for another challenge. “If the right property comes up that needs renovating, that’s OK.’‘ Her apartment has parking and no common walls.
